Are you a real retail store or just an E-Commerce site?  Rate it

We are the Real Deal bricks-and-mortar store! Our store is located in Evansville, Indiana at 500-A North Congress Avenue just behind the southwest corner of Eastland Mall. We have a great collection of antique fishing-related prints, a "conversation pit" for relaxing and telling some fish stories, a video factory tour of G. Loomis, open displays of all G. Loomis rods and accessories, and wonderful staff that are dedicated to taking care of our customers. We are open 9 AM to 6 PM Monday through Friday. We are closed on Saturdays and Sundays during the summer to allow our pro staff time on the water. We would just love to have you stop by!

How do I order from you?  Rate it

Several ways. Our web site is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and displays our current stock levels. No back-order surprises here! Just click on the items you need and check out. Your order will be shipped the same day. You can also call us at 1-877-402-6350 toll free or 1-812-402-6350 (toll) or fax us at 1-812-402-6352. Our e-mail is sales@gloomis.us which is also a contact point. We are open 9 AM to 6 PM Monday through Friday. We are closed on Saturdays and Sundays. However you order, we'll make sure you get the G. Loomis product you need.....fast!

How can I pay for my order?  Rate it

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discovery, American Express, PayPal and Google CheckOut.

How soon will my order be delivered?  Rate it

We try to ship the same day your order is received. As fellow fishermen we know all about "immediate gratification" and "the need"! Since we are located in the Middle of the USA many of our customers receive 1 to 2 day delivery. About 5 days is the longest delivery times we experience in the Lower 48 States using UPS. Delivery time of Orders outside of the USA really depend on the shipping carrier, customs clearance, and local delivery schedules. On these orders we suggest checking with your local customs office or the delivering carrier.

What if I want to return all or part of my purchase?  Rate it

No problem! As a customer of American Legacy Fishing Company you automatically have a 30 day "no questions asked" return privilege. Just make sure the product is in the same new condition you received it in. You do need to Contact Us First to get a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) so we can properly credit you when the product is received by us. Be sure to have your product part number(s), our invoice or order number, your address, and phone number when contacting us for a RMA. What do I do about a defective product or broken rod?  Rate it

First, RELAX! All products we sell have manufacturer’s product warranties.

Many of the rods we sell actually have lifetime warranties. Most reels are warranted at least 6 months, and many are one full year. If you have ANY problems, or have a broken rod, just contact us at sales@gloomis.us. Make sure to tell us what the problem is, what your order number is (if applicable), and any other information you may have.

Do you take rod or reel trade-ins?  Rate it

We all end up with a rod or two we no longer use, wish we had never bought, our would like to upgrade. Now you have an option to just letting those rods gather dust! American Legacy Fishing Company’s Xpress Rod Trade-In Program allows you to upgrade your old rods or reels.

Here’s how it works:

  • Call us, e-mail us, fax us, or come in with what you want to trade-in.
  • We will quote you a trade-in value based on your description and our appraisal.
  • If we agree on the trade-in value, then just place your order for your replacement or upgrade rod(s). We’ll take your credit card details and shipping info, immediately send your new rod(s) out in a sturdy, reusable shipping tube along with a pre-paid UPS return label.
  • When your new rod(s) arrive simply put the trade-in rod(s) in the tube, reseal, take off the old UPS label and put the prepaid label on the tube and drop off at a UPS pick-up point.
  • Reels must be shipped separately from rods and we will include a shipping label for them as well if applicable.
  • Once we receive and inspect the rods / reels we will issue your credit card a credit for the trade-in value agreed less the return prepaid shipping fee.

G. Loomis rods typically appraise at 30% to 45% of current MSRP. Other brands may be somewhat less. Reels range in value from 20% to 45% of current MSRP. All values are highly dependent on condition and brand. If our inspection determines the rods / reels are below the condition that was described to us, we will contact you with our inspection report and a revised trade-in appraisal. We always try to minimize this sort of situation by asking customers to be as fair as possible when describing rods / reels to be traded.

Rods / Reels Not Acceptable: We cannot accept rods made in China, Korea, Thailand, etc. by manufacturers other than St. Croix, Shimano, Daiwa, etc. We cannot accept any rod that has damage or wear that would substantially affect the rods performance. We cannot accept rods deemed ’vintage’ where collector value is greater than functional value. We reserve the right to confirm ownership and to refuse any rod or reel. It’s that simple. Do you have a catalog?  Rate it

Yes. We stock all of the latest G. Loomis Catalogs and they are available Free-of-Charge by simply calling us at 1-877-402-6350 or 1-812-402-6350 (toll), faxing us at 1-812-402-6350, or e-mailing us at sales@gloomis.us Be sure to tell us which catalog(s) you want (Freshwater, Fly Fishing, Saltwater, or Accessories-Hats, T-Shirts, etc.) along with your name and address and e-mail. We'll get them out immediately!

I've received an error message stating that my credit card is invalid. What should I do?  Rate it

If you see an error message stating that your credit card is invalid, this has most likely happened for one of the following reasons:
  1. You have incorrectly entered your credit card number.
  2. You have incorrectly entered your CVV code.
  3. You have incorrectly entered your expiration date.
  4. You have used a cancelled credit card to place your order.
  5. Your card is restricted to point-of-sale transactions only (sales where your card is physically scanned).
Please double-check your credit card and/or with your bank to ensure that none of these problems have occurred. If you realize that you've made a mistake, simply return to the payment option page and enter in the correct information. Continue checking out as normal. If you're still encountering problems, please contact us. However, at no point should you ever e-mail us your full credit card number. Your e-mail does not have the same security features in place as the website. If you wish to reference a specific credit card that you already have on file with us, please reference by the order number. If you believe that you have provided us with an incorrect CVV code or expiration date you may send us that corrected information via e-mail referencing by the order number. If you believe that your card was declined due to insufficient funds, but now have those funds available, you may ask that we attempt to charge your credit card again. If you believe that your card is restricted to point-of-sale transactions, you must either contact your bank about removing such restrictions, provide us with a different credit card, or choose a new payment method.

Why is my online confirmation number different from my order number?  Rate it

This is due to the internal process we must maintain to properly track your order through the system. Once an order number is assigned you may use it for all future references to that purchase.

Cancellations  Rate it

Orders are shipped the same day as received.

Every effort will be made to accommodate the cancellation of your order, providing your order has not been charged and/or shipped out.
